Canimal Challenge

Let's get ready to rumble!!!! It is Aloe and My first shopping challenge and we step up to the plate at Canimal. I, suprisingly to some, chose this location. I was trying to be nice to my friend Aloe and give her an easy first shop. I think next time I will take her some place tougher.

I have always loved tattoos on others but never really wore them myself. This has changed recently as I have gotten some open back outfits and have gone a bit wild with tattoos which you will get to see today. Not my usual fair, but it is fun to change it up ever so often. There is some great body art out there and it just might warrant a blog article or two all it's own.

Without much further ado what I bought at Canimal and decided to share with everyone. Yes, I chose Lingerie called Lust, how appropriate if I do say so myself! It was scintillating and Red Hot and I had to have it. I am all for a sexy pair of garters and the lace detailing is exquisite. It also comes with lots of mix and match options with two different bra's, corset which I am wearing, thong and panty options, and two different color stockings, everything on all layers all for $350L. You can purchase the pieces individually as well. Some sexy heels and some diamonds finish off this sexy look to keep that special someone up allllllll night long.
Outfit: Lust Full Set
Shoes: Minx exquisite Beauty Scarlet
Hair: JetDoll WWII Romance: red
Jewelry: Valencia Rare Gemstone: Formal Chocker & Earrings
Tattoo: Garden of KU Tattoo Niu-Kua_Gok
Skin: Belleza Ange Rose Dore NS Ruby Night R
Eye: High Design Dark Crystal Green Real Eyes 4

It amuses me that I live in a lovely beach house and yet I hardly ever wear a bikini, so it takes alot to make me stop and look at one. This one knocked my socks of so much so that I bought it in several color ways, not something I do often. This sexy little beach number featurs several different bikini top type including halter, with straps and without, sarong as well as different bikini bottoms. So if you are feeling daring bare more. A steal for only $325 will have you looking stylish and you never have to even get wet!

Evocative Magick Review. By Aloe.

Oboy! Time for a post! Blogblogblogblog! I'm blogging now You are all seeing me do it. Well.. seeing the results. Of course, bein a notorious Interweb blogger, I'm used to all this. This is my 2nd post. Really getting up there. I'm good at this. But, let's get started Bloggybloggybloggy.....

Lookit that! Really some nice texture work, no? Picking a color was hard, as they were all tempting, but frankly, I had no pink armor =p Tragic, I KNOW! The green was another sore temptation, but, I can't have everything. Believe me, I've tried. It's spiky, yet not harsh like metal armor. Not even sure what it'd be made of, but, I like it.

HAIR Tariae from Curl up and Dye
SKIN :Lisa-Nature from Insolence Unless I say otherwise, it always is
OUTFIT: Lapointe Immortal Pink Armor Full set

This INSTANTLY has become a new favorite of mine. I LOVE red and black, and there's just something about tartan I adore The boots are seperate, but right next to the outfit in question, and, if one looks round the shop, one will happily find a few other outfits that match them as well .The shinies are the Lapointe 'Gothique' Women's silver celtic cross set, and frankly, beautiful.

HAIR:XOXOXO from Grrl 6, tho, was bought on the 'about to be discontinued' shelf months ago Or, was it a new release? I'm terrible
OUTFIT :Lapointe "Gothica Tartan" Gift Set
JEWELERY: Named in above text

Yeah, I know. Likely not what most would consider fashion, but, hey, this is (partly) MY blog, and I'm damned well going to do it (partly) MY way! Damne the torpedoes! Anyway, Much as I love anything unique, I must regretfully point out the 'Stealt Suit' isn't very functional. I'm relatively sure people still saw me. And point of side interest, the gun in the pic is the only firearm I own. Never really needed another =p. ANYWHO, it's a neat stealthsuit. The visor slips up and down with a click, and it has a deactivatable backpack that makes a really neat high-tech pulsing sound. I honestly don't play anywhere that would require, nor do I really need a stealth suit. BUT if we only bought what we needed, SL wouldn't exist =p
HAIR:No hair.
SKIN:Lisa-Nature from Insolence
BIGASS GUN: Blackops Harkonnan Cannon

I'm fairly certain I may have, at some point in past, at least touched upon the fact that. I really love elaborate gowns. Ohhhh. There's no outfits like a dress big enough to smuggle people under. Why would I want to? *cough* None of your business! Just know that fancy parties can be kind of long and tedious, and occasional distractions are welcome. *ahem*Onwiththeblog, thankyou. Just LOOK at that. LOOK at the velvet! Ohhh so soft and fuzzywuzzy. And the trim <3 Words do not describe. BUT, I sure use a lot of em There's also a fancy high collar part to this, but.. *pout* It uses same attachment point as my glasses.

HAIR: Queen Anne, Curl Up and Dye.
OUTFIT: Lapointe "Baroque Darkness" black velvet Wedding Gown Set Gift

This one is called 'Fallen Angel' And, oh how I love it. Was actually the 1st thing I bought in the shop. Tho, as the other pics, and outfits not shown testify, I sometimes have low impulse control, and got a bit more after this. Pity you can't see the back <3 Worth a peek too. =p Ask me sometime you see me, I'll show ya. I'm a fan of bared midriff outfits in general, And of this one in specific.

HAIR: Catnip, from Playful Kitten
OUTFIT: Lapointe Underworld "Fallen Angel"
BOOTS: White Lilith Stilettoes, from Sinful Needs

Mew! Not really sure if I'm allowed to wear a different shop's outfit in a blog article about this one, but... I REALLY wanted to show off the skin. Because they have an entire building in the shop devoted entirely to yummyyummy neko skins. Mine's 'White Tiger', and comes with several variations for the purchase price, including a more feline face, and same as depicted, but with kittystripes on face too. There's other patterns and colors, and ooooh, it's Yummy! Comes with scripted ears and kittytail.

SKIN: Lapointe 'White Tiger'
HAIR: Angel-From Analog Dog
OUTFIT: Halfass'd, from Impwerks

I cannot at this time recall who slipped me this LM, but Thank you. The shop is beautiful, the clothing is imaginitive and top notch, and, it comes to you by the Lapointe, which I had known about for ages as an elite, classy dress shop, shopped there myself in past, but, had never seen this side of it. This place is bloody huge. There's mens and womens clothing and armor, and it's devided into different themed areas. The Kittyskins are at the one called 'Neko', The Gowns at and clothes at 'Gothic Obsession', but, it's all the same store, really, same sim, same designer, and if navigating gets confusing, there's conveniant TP walls all over.

And while this does not affect the quality of the clothes in any way shape form or fashion, I'd like to say, The owner, Paul Lapointe, and his beautiful partner, Bastchild Lotus, are wonderful people. I met Basty to talk business, and before I knew what was what, we'd talked for hours. They're FUN people. So. I take that back, It SHOULD affect buying decision. You can shop here knowing the Customer Service will be handled warmly and properly. AND, on the inside, you know your lin aren't going to some jerk. =p

This is Aloe, Signing off for now.

Ohmanohmanohman... late! latelateLAAAAAATE! This is not a good way to start the bloggy! Being a day late! Not a good thing to do! Not good! But here I am! Sorry I kept you all waiting! Hiiiiii! I'm Aloe! Aloe
Stradling, to be precice! At least, I was last time I checked. Anyway, whoever I am, I know I'm the last one of us to post on the bloggy! Sorry! I was distracted by something shiny. ANYWAY, let's get this moving before I get sidetracked again by - OOH, what's that?

Okay, back again, sorry. I'm okay. I'm focused. I'm driven! I'm.... kinda hungry, but, I'll worry about that later. Let me say in advance, Lexie and I don't always see eye to eye on clothes 100%. AND also, the term 'Favorite' is hard to pin down on me. IN the year and almost-a-half I've been on SL, I've had dozens of 'favorites' , but I eventually get everything I want from said shops, and tend to forget some in the unending search for more and better. Even with organization skills, I Have stuff forgotten that I would still love if I knew it was there. But, I digress. Without further ado, Here's my top-ish 10.

((AS a final note, MAYBE I should have worn more acessories. I see Lexie listed where she got shoes, jewelery, etc, whereas I was pretty much just wearin' the outfits in question. BUT, I think I look pretty anyway. Note also, there is no overwhelming sense of order to my top 10. #4 is not nessicarily any better then #7, I just liked the clothes! ))

#10

S6.

One of the few I share on this list with Lexie. The designer is absolutely a treasure. And, quite frankly, I'm surprised Lexie likes it too. 'Over the top' were the words Lexie used, and that sums it up nicely. Belts, straps and buckles, intriguing glimpses without quite showing what it oughtn't, and it's LATEX. Can't go wrong there. Might want to keep the LM within easy reach, as a warning; She releases regular limited edition outfits. Only (X) made, and when they're gone, they're gone. I have a couple.

SKIN: White Tiger, from NOMINE

HAIR: Sour, white/black from Deviant Kitties.

OUTFIT : Giving the name wouldn't help, sorry. This was one of those limited edition outfits I told you about.

#9 Fairy's Grove Creations

There will always be a special place in my heart for fantasy. No, I don't play WoW, or anything, I just will always have a part of me that is little Aloe with a pile of stuffed unicorns. Fantasy, whimsy, things that stir
the imagination. And Fairy's grove is a joy to visit. They have quite a variety, from outfits to full avs, Faeries, Demons, angels and more. From fantasy gowns to aesthetically designed armor, Fairy's Grove has what you need. Oh, and guys? There's menswear too.

SKIN: Lisa-nature From Insolence

OUTFIT: Zebra Fae -Fairy's Grove

HAIR: POSHY in smoulder, again from deviant kitties.

#8

Reasonable Desires.

An outright mecca for anone who needs a sexy outfit with a theme in mind. Western, Foregin, fantasy, Gothic, Pirates, Reasonable Desires has what you need, at prices that won't break your bank. Unless you end up buying a dozen things cos it's all so inexpensive. Lord knows I'll spend 3k at a store like this, in the 2-350 range, but snub my nose at buying one expensive outfit at half that cost.
SKIN: Eye of Horus, by Numinous

HAIR: Harem Girl Short, from Goldie Locks

OUTFIT: YUMMY MUMMY, Reasonable desres, Sandals came included. The Glasses Also came from here, in the 'College Cutie' outfit, and unless it just looks wrong, or the attachment spot is already in use, I wear them as pretty much my only standard article in almost any outfit.

#7

Impwerkz

Good girls don't shop here. BUT as I never claimed to be one, all good. Fishnets and skin tight marerials, rips and holes in the most interesting places, Impwerkz is a veritble temple devoted to 'LOOK AT ME". And they will look. And probably think things. Shame on them. =p Minds in the gutter. Good number of outfits, and almost all come in several colors, so you can take your pick.
HAIR: Tart, by Cake

SKIN: Lisa-Nature by Insolence

OUTFIT: White Tiger, by Impwerkz

#6

THE HOUSE OF RFYRE

Words do not describe. But Lexie says I hafta try, so, here goes. Dark imagination. Gothic fantasy. Creamed Corn. Okay, not somuch that last one, but the 1st two descriptives are -dead on-. And when I say Gothic, I don't mean gloomy people listening to Manson while discussing how bleak and pointless everything is. I mean the old kind, Satin and velvet, or silken gowns, to me, wearing almost anything from here conveys a sense of power. Dress Elite. Dress Rfyre.
HAIR: Catnip-brown burnt, by Playful Kitten

SKIN: Mocha -Glossy Amerath, by Nomine

OUTFIT: Yen-silver. Also available in gold. Which I also have.

#5

CRYSTAL QUEENDOM

Remember how I said this list was in no particular order? If it WERE more structured, this one might be closer to #1, simply because of my aforestated love of dressing like a fantasy princess. Lexie says I look like a parade float, of Ship at full sail. BUT I love it anyway. There's just something wonderful about wearing a gown big enough to warrent warning lights. There are many different styles and colors, see if anything suits you. The price range is a bit unusual I confess, literally ranging from 350 linden to 2.5k. Stop by and have a look. Livinglight really knows how to weave imagintion.

HAIR: Sing to me, black, red tipped, From Mirada

SKIN: Lisa-Nature by Insolence

OUTFIT: Sonia Couture

#4

CHAOSPIRE

Ah, Chaospire. I think it's been around SL longer than I have, and still tops at what they do. And what they do is alluring fantasy. Suggestive without being cheap or tawdry, Chaospire again proves I fixate on fantasy, from the castle tower design of the shop itself, to the yummy outfits; winged faeries, dark horned demonesses, and some rather interesting armor that I confess...doesn't seem to practical for defending onesself in battle, but mmmm, it looks divine.

HAIR: Nila, in green, from Goldie Locks

SKIN: Lisa-Nature from Insolence

OUTFIT: WoodNymph

#3

KC's CREATIONS

I am a total consumer whore when it comes to KC's. First time I saw them, I ended up spending WAY too much, and resolved not to make that mistake again. Guess what? I didn't stick to it, and never regretted it. You pay 6-800 per outfit, but usually includes entire outfit, shoes that match included. Also, They tend to play with different layers, so wearing them different ways can change the feel signifigantly. Not one to miss.

HAIR: Acrid, in smoulder, from Deviant Kitties.

SKIN: Lisa-Nature, by Insolence

OUTFIT: Storm Collection- Fire

#2 SOULY'S CORNER

Really not sure why I did this. Not many people willing to consider demon armor as FASHION, but..... I really /like/ 'out there', as long as it's well crafted. And this stuff fits that perfectly. Most of the designs here come in both Male and Female versions, and have a price range starting low and ascending reasonably, each outfit more complex then the last. The one you seee here is their most expensive, tho the exact price escapes me at the moment. There is an alien beauty to the things here, and I love it. I love pushing back the limits of what people find attractive.

SKIN: KADRU snake skin

HAIR: Harem Girl, Blue, Goldie Locks

OUTFIT: Infernalist Mitress Armor

#1 Latex Desire

Am I allowed to favorite this? I hope so, cause I'm doing it anyway. The reson I wondered is, I work here. I am the Latex Desire assistant, model, customer service, and semi-mascot =p If you buy something here, there's a possibility I helped make it. BUT, helped is the key word, the real work is done by Mistress Persephone. And, such work it is! At Latex Desire, one of the primary goals is to be sexy. Even suggestive, but not slip intolooking trashy or slutty. In other words, 'I may be kinky, but, I have self respect. '

HAIR: Chyna in black from Gurl 6

SKIN: Lisa-Nature from Insolence

OUTFIT: Custom made, not for sale.

More than just Scintillating, and Sexy

Stiletto Moody shoes and designs are in a class by themselves. One of the first things I notice on a woman is the style of shoes she is wearing, because it usually says alot about her. Truly a statement of class and distinction. Along with subtle sensuality.

It has been said that these shoes are way to high in price but I can't begin to tell you how much money I have spent in her store. However, you will find me going back time after time to see if she has anything new for my girls. From elegant formal wear to chic casual wear she simply hits the mark each and every time she releases a new style.

The texturing and sculpting is very complex and detailed but her lines are smooth and flowing. No gapping floppy heel syndrome or box like edges.

These are two of my favorite styles right now and you can find them in an array of colors as well as highly detailed scripting.

First the Ruby Red Elegant slingback for 975L
Purely delicious. Sleek and elegant. They really show off a womans sense of fine style.

My Second choice and is simple semantics when trying to decide which style is best. It is the Black Tie me up Stilettos for 950L offering the same fine options in color and scripting.

So if you haven't gotten yourself down to this amazing and talented designers store. Please follow the below URL.

Her larger dress collections with many outfit mixing and matching can go for over 1000L but she breaks them up into smaller sets for about 450-600L and her swim suits and jeans are less. Opening of the Fashion Raiders Blog

Aloe started the Fashion Raiders group in Second Life to share her love of fashion with the rest of the world. I, Lexie, joined it shortly after it started being an avaid shopper of SL Fashion. Along the way we have traded fashion advice, I got her into a normal skin, she tickles my fancy with her "parade float" dresses, and share landmarks like crazy.

We both have our own unique outlook on fashion and the way we dress. But we share a common love of fashion and clothes. We decided to create this blog as an extension of the Fashion Raiders Second Life group. We hope to enhance your SL Second Life Experience and our own.

Several things we hope to do:

1. We will be starting with a list of our top 10 fashion picks. Do not get us wrong we love to shop else where, lots of other places, but these are always fall back places for us. This will include a picture of an outfit from each location.

2. Weekly Aloe and I will be going shopping at the same location/store. We will then take photos of our purchases and show what we each come up with from the same location and how different or similar they can be.

3. Boot Janus, a shoe and boot lover, will be covering every womans favorite, SHOES! He will report on a different shoe maker and what is out there to cover, reveal, and show off those pretty little toes.

4. Accessory Round Up: What outfit is complete without hair, jewellry, handbags, belts, and whatever else you might think of!

What you Should Expect:

We are both dancers at a club! So expect everything from wild and kinky to runway fashion! Aloe likes to change her look alot so skin changes, eye changes, shape changes, extreme hair changes, tattoos. My base look does not change much same skin with different make-up looks, red hair, green eyes. I am however a bit more diverse then Aloe in my fashion choices a bit bohemian, a lot of chic, a dash of elegance, and just a hint of funk and soul to round it out. Always very pulled together and finished looking.

If you have ideas please let us know! This blog is to help you so feel free to contact either one of us in Second Life at Aloe Stradling or Lexie Jansma. We are looking forward to feeding your need for fashion!

Lots of Love
Lexie
